Privacy Policy
This section describes how yourfncomptracker.us ("the Site," "we," "us") handles information when you visit.
Who we are
The Site is an independent fan project covering competitive Fortnite. We are not Epic Games, Inc., Tracker Network, or any official tournament organizer. See Contact for how to reach the Site operator.
Information we collect
- Technical data. IP address, approximate location derived from IP, browser type, device type, referring page, and timestamps are processed by our hosting/CDN provider (Cloudflare) to serve pages and protect the Site from abuse.
- Anonymous visit & presence counters. The Site shows a live "Total Visitors" and "Online Now" count. These are generated by a small counter we run ourselves (via Cloudflare Pages Functions and Cloudflare KV storage): a random, non-identifying session marker is stored in your browser to avoid counting the same visit twice, and a short-lived "still here" signal (auto-expiring in under two minutes) is used to estimate how many people are on the Site right now. No name, account, or profile is attached to these numbers — they are simple tallies, not analytics profiles.
- Local browser storage. The Site may store small, non-identifying preferences (such as whether the mobile menu is open, or the session marker above) in your browser. This data stays on your device except for the anonymous counter signal described above.
- The eligibility checker. Runs entirely in your browser. It does not log into any Epic Games account and does not transmit or store your answers on our servers.
- The player stats lookup. When you look up a username on the Stats page, that username and chosen platform are sent to our server, which relays the request to the Fortnite Tracker API (run by Tracker Network) and returns the public stats it provides. No Epic account login or linking occurs — it's the same kind of public lookup you could do directly on their site. We cache results for a few minutes to keep repeat searches fast and to stay within Tracker Network's API limits; we don't build any profile or history from what you search.
- The Watch page. To show whether an official Fortnite stream is currently live, your browser asks our server to check Twitch's public status for Epic's official channel(s). This check does not require you to have a Twitch account, log in, follow, or comment. If a stream is live, the video is shown to you directly by Twitch's own embedded player, which is then subject to Twitch's own privacy policy for that embedded session.
- Advertising data. When Google AdSense serves ads on the Site, Google and its advertising partners may collect and process data (such as cookies and advertising identifiers) under their own privacy policies.
We do not require or collect account registration, real names, email addresses, or payment information to use the Site itself.
How we use information
- Operate, secure, and maintain the Site
- Show the live visitor counter and live-stream status described above
- Understand approximate, aggregate traffic (e.g. via server logs)
- Display advertising through Google AdSense, where approved
- Respond to messages sent through the Contact section
Legal bases for processing (EEA/UK visitors)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on: legitimate interests in operating a secure, functioning website (including the anonymous visit/presence counters); consent for non-essential cookies and personalized advertising, collected through a Google-provided consent management tool; and legal obligation where applicable law requires a particular disclosure or action.
How information is shared
We do not sell personal information. Limited data is shared with:
- Cloudflare, our hosting/CDN and serverless-function provider, to deliver and secure the Site and run the visitor counter and live-stream check;
- Twitch, when checking or displaying live-stream status, subject to Twitch's own privacy policy;
- Tracker Network (operator of the Fortnite Tracker API and tracker.gg), only when you submit a username on the Stats page, subject to their own privacy policy;
- Google, through Google AdSense, when ads are shown — Google acts as an independent controller for the advertising data it collects (see How Google uses information from sites that use our services).
Data retention
Server and security logs are kept only as long as needed for operating and securing the Site. The anonymous visit counter is a running total with no per-visitor history retained; the "online now" presence signal automatically expires within about two minutes and is not logged historically.
Children's privacy
This Site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Competitive Fortnite events discussed on this Site have their own minimum age and account requirements set by Epic Games — see our eligibility guide — and parents or guardians should supervise account creation and tournament entry for younger players. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information (for example, through the Contact section), please contact us so we can delete it.
Your privacy rights
If the GDPR/UK GDPR applies to you, you generally have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict our use of your personal information, to receive a copy of it in a portable format, and to object to certain processing, including for personalized advertising.
If the CCPA/CPRA applies to you (California residents), you generally have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (which can include certain advertising cookies), and to non-discrimination for exercising these rights.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us. We aim to respond within 30 days. You may also control advertising cookies directly through your browser settings and Google Ad Settings.
International visitors
The Site runs on Cloudflare's global network, so your information may be processed in a country other than your own, which may have different data protection laws.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change when we do.
Cookie Policy
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include browser local storage. This section covers all of these together as "cookies" for simplicity.
How this Site uses them
- Strictly necessary. Set by Cloudflare to deliver pages securely and protect against abuse.
- Functional / counters (not a tracking cookie). A random, non-identifying ID kept in your browser so the "Total Visitors" counter doesn't count the same visit twice, plus a short-lived "still here" heartbeat that powers the "Online Now" number. Neither is used to build a profile of you or to track you across other sites.
- Advertising. When Google AdSense is active, Google and its advertising partners may set cookies or use similar identifiers to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads where permitted.
The Site does not use its own first-party analytics or cross-site tracking cookies beyond the counter described above.
Consent for advertising cookies
Where required by law (including the UK/EEA), non-essential advertising cookies are only set with your consent, collected through Google's consent management tools. You can change your choice at any time through that same consent tool or your browser settings.
We do not sell your data
We do not sell or share cookie-derived data with data brokers.
Your controls
- Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and local storage in their privacy or security settings.
- Google Ad Settings lets you control personalized advertising across Google's network.
- Where a consent banner is shown, you can update your choice there at any time.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect how the Site loads or functions; blocking the counter's local ID just means a repeat visit may be counted again.
See How Google uses cookies for more.
Terms of Use
By using yourfncomptracker.us (the "Site"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
What the Site is
The Site is an independent, informational fan resource about competitive Fortnite: schedules, guides, event-type explanations, a self-check eligibility tool, live-stream status, and anonymous visitor counters. Content is written and maintained by the Site operator and is provided free of charge.
Not an official source
The Site is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Epic Games, Inc., Tracker Network, Twitch, or any official Fortnite competitive organizer. "Fortnite," "FNCS," and related names and marks belong to their respective owners.
No reliance for competitive decisions
Always confirm exact event times, eligibility requirements, rules, and results on official Fortnite channels — the in-game Compete tab and fortnite.com/competitive — before relying on anything from this Site.
Tools on this Site
The eligibility checker is a self-assessment tool based on publicly available account requirements; it does not connect to your real Epic Games account. The Watch page shows Twitch's own embedded player for Epic's official channel(s) when live, sourced from Twitch's public status; it does not require or use a Twitch login. The Stats page relays a public username lookup to the Fortnite Tracker API (Tracker Network) and displays what that API returns; it does not log into or link any account, and stats accuracy and availability depend entirely on Tracker Network's service, which we don't control. All three are provided for convenience and are not a substitute for the official tools Epic, Twitch, and Tracker Network each provide directly.
Acceptable use
You agree not to attack, disrupt, or place undue load on the Site or its infrastructure; scrape or reproduce substantial portions of the Site's content without permission; attempt to bypass Site security or misuse any tool on the Site; or use the Site in a way that violates Epic Games', Twitch's, or Google's policies, or applicable law.
Intellectual property
Original text, guides, and design on this Site belong to the Site operator unless otherwise noted. Fortnite-related names, logos, and other marks referenced here belong to Epic Games, Inc. and are used descriptively, not to claim any affiliation.
Disclaimers
THE SITE AND ITS CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. Competitive schedules, rules, and requirements are set by Epic Games and can change without notice; the live-stream status depends on Twitch's availability and can be delayed or briefly incorrect.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Site operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site — including a missed event, a misunderstood eligibility requirement, a scheduling error, or a missed livestream.
Third-party links, embeds, and advertising
The Site links to official Epic Games pages, embeds Twitch's official player, and may display third-party advertising served by Google AdSense. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of linked or embedded third-party services.
Changes
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site, and may update these Terms, at any time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the Site operator's jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where local consumer protection law provides otherwise.
